I'm going to Chicago tomorrow to invigilate some exams for work, which means I get an all expenses paid trip in return for 3 mornings of sitting in a room watching people write. I'm looking forward to just hanging out, seeing some cool architecture and going to some world class art galleries and museums. Oh, and eating steak, which is apparently a great favourite in that part of the world.
Pretty soon after that I'm off to Berlin with Jude, for what promises to be a lovely city break. Everyone I know who has benen there has good things to say about Berlin, and there should be a huge range of stuff for us to do, not least drinking beer and eating bratwurst. Sehr gut!
